adept is a web-based course system written in PHP3 using MySQL as the database. It allows authors to write short courses that would be available to users needing to learn something specific. As an author you can write your course directly online, and set up a FAQ, links to other sites and a homepage for the course. Each course also has its own discussion group. As an user you can register and get a password by email. Once you log in, you can choose any number of available courses. You also get access to a small notebook. For each part (module) of the course you can mark it as "ready" so you know where you are when you come back. The system also keeps track on new and changed modules. When you are finished with a course you can answer a small survey. Your "score" is also used to calculate the "average rating" for the course. adept is currently available in Swedish and English.
